An introduction to illuminated manuscripts from the

Islamic tradition (presentation)

 

A hands on study of methods and materials used, including

the preparation of pigments and gold for painting (shell gold)

 

An introduction to page layouts and practice of traditional motifs.  Participants practice traditional Painting techniques and colour theory.  Using traditional methods and materials, participants work on producing a small illuminated roundel
